Ineffable nose combines wet stone, iodine, citrus skin and spices. Offers superb sweetness of flavor allied to great cut and freshness. Wonderfully elegant grand cru with very intense flavors of grapefruit and dusty stone. Very long, ripe and gripping on the aftertaste. One-third of this wine was fermented and aged in barrel, the rest in tank; it then spent its last five months prior to bottling in stainless steel. "Les Clos is the most complete Chablis grand cru," says Christian Moreau.
Winery
In 1814, Jean Joseph Moreau, a "tonnelier" from Montbard, founded the wine-merchant and trading firm, J. Moreau et Fils, in Chablis. Throughout this time, six generations of the Moreau family have carefully crafted and cultivated the vines in order to create the pinnacle of Chablis wines
