Founded in the late 1800s by Emmanuele Guerreri, son of King Victor Emmanuel II, the Fontanafredda estate has undergone something of an image evolution in recent years, completely restyling the bottles and revolutionising production. The estate comprises about 100 hectares of hilly terrain at Serralunga d''''Alba, Barolo and Diano d''''Alba and rents an array of others throughout Piedmont. The combined grapes from all these sources go to produce the estate''''s magnificent range of wines.
