This is a big, rich, full bodied Shiraz which has maintained a level of elegance, enhanced by a tad of Viognier and high quality French oak. The nose shows rich fruit cake with lashings of dark Belgium chocolate and spice. On the palate there is an explosion of rich chocolate truffles and dark fruits, smooth and seamless it is like drinking silk sheets.The wine is drinking well now but you can expect it to age for ten or more years.

Hentley Farm is a small vineyard that produces unique and hand crafted wines. They do not filter their wines in order to retain their rustic qualities.Their vineyard naturally produces wines with high pH and low acid, and contrary to some ''new world'' wine produces, they choose to maintain the pH/acid balance through to bottle as they feel it is a major component of their site ''terroir''. This also has a positive influence on their wine style by adding to the softness of the mouth-feel that their wines exhibit.
