Tasting Tips
This legendary wine has an impressive history. Favoured by Frederick the Great, demanded by Napoleon Bonaparte, loved by Charles Dickens and craved by King Louis Phillipe of France. Jane Austen even recommended it as a cure for a broken heart. Made on Muscat de Frontignan raisins, it exudes a bright golden in colour with fresh green tinges. The richly aromatic nose displays candied orange peel, sundried peaches and whiffs of sandalwood. The palate is full and viscous with waves of white peach and pear flavours, restrained acidity and fine, nutty finish. This is the dessert wine served in Heaven.

Winery
The verdant Constantia valley, home to Klein Constantia Estate, is the oldest, most enduring vineyard region in the Cape, first producing wine in 1689.As part of the original vineyard that in the 18th century produced "Constantia", prized throughout Europe by the leaders and aristocracy of the time, Klein Constantia has helped to reclaim its former glory by initiating the revival of this famous wine.
