Lucious and lovely, full of licorice and spice and earth, loaded with silken, fine, beautifully ripened tannins and coal-black to its heart. This is a beautiful, sweet-fruited, proportioned wine that I’d happily chew on all evening. It will age, but it will be best young.

Vinified and bottled by the Old Plains Wine Co. (Domenic Torzi & Tim Freeland) from grapes grown in the last remaining old vine vineyards in the Adelaide Plains region of South Australia. Hand picked, open fermented and basket pressed. Matured for 24 months in French oak barriques prior to unfiltered bottling. POWER OF ONE - Share our passion for this greatest of Australian varieties. This wine is a tribute to the gnarly old vines from the 1950's that escaped the vine pull schemes of the 1980's.
