Tasting Tips
It’s a pearler. It tastes minerally and funky at first but given air, it’s a wash with delicious flavours of cedarwood, cloves, dark cherries, five-spice and probably a good many other things. It’s complex, smooth, and persistent. It has out-and-out sex appeal too. It’s very easy to review, because it’s very obviously excellent. 94 Points. Campbell Mattison - Wine Front March 2010

Winery
"...We started Spinifex in 2001 with the opportunity to source some great old vine Mataro growing in deep white drift-sand on the Barossa Valleys’ Western Ridge. Our focus is on making regional wines from the traditional Mediterranean grape varieties that have been grown successfully in Australia for over 150 years - Shiraz, Mataro, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Ugni Blanc, Grenache Gris, Marsanne and Semillon."
