Tasting Tips
An intense Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir reflecting ripe dry vintage conditions and low cropping levels. Rich plum and strawberry aromas are complimented with spicy oak. The palate shows good depth: fruit weight is balanced with acidity and there are earthy spicy overtones from toasty oak. This Pinot is drinking well already, but will age well for 3-5 years

Winery
Stumpy Gully Vineyard was established in 1989 in the Moorooduc Wine Touring Area of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. This family-operated vineyard is owned by the Zantvoort family who have planted some unusual varieties along with the classic varieties for which the region is becoming increasingly famous. The first vines were planted in 1989 partly on historic dairy land unused for half a century and partly on virgin bush soil. These unspoiled Moorooduc soils, cool climate of the Mornington Peninsula and the unique mesoclimate between two bays together with the modern viticultural techniques practiced by Frank and Michael Zantvoort and the expertise of three winemakers
