Boysenberry and cranberry fruit, some pepper and meaty ferment characters. It’s nice and firm with almost sandy, slightly sappy tannin, and fragrant but tart fruit flavour. There’s minimal oak here but does have a light nutty vanilla chocolate character

Rory Lane is the proprietor of the Story Wines, a small urban winery in Melbourne, Australia. The Story makes Grampians Shiraz and little parcels of other novelties when they feel the conditions are right. The aim is to bring the winemaking experience to the city, where people can see, learn and enjoy it, rather than having to travel hours to get to it.
