Series C is blended from the most powerful and intense wines from the Vilafonte Vineyard. This wine displays deep concentrated blackberry fruit with wafts of luscious vanilla and dark chocolate undertones. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
Winery
Vilafonte is the first joint winemaking project between American and South African vintners. Winemaker Zelma Long and winegrower Phil Freese from California collaborate with South African wine marketeer Mike Ratcliffe in this pioneering venture. Vilafonte derives its name from the unique and ancient soil type found on the property, the texture of which is reflected on the label. Vilafonte is a specialist small-batch handmade luxury red wine for the discerning wine lover.
